親愛的家長、老師和志工們,大家好,
我上週持續到各班去頒發「慈悲大挑戰」的獎狀,看到同學們紛紛舉手分享他們所做的好事,真的非常的棒!請大家鼓勵孩子們持續天天做好事喔!
參加全美慈濟盃靜思語硬筆/書法比賽的名單已公佈在學校網站,請參加的同學將寫好的靜思語在本周日交回學校,我們將統一整理寄到加州參加比賽。我們感恩所有參賽的學生/家長、老師及志工的努力,我們預祝他們有好的成績!
另外,有23位同學將代表學校在本週日(3/17)到法拉盛的文教中心參加大紐約區鉛筆書法比賽。請參賽的同學記得11點的時候到愛心站領取一份簡單的午餐。低年級組在1pm,中高年級在2:30pm到文教中心報到(Culture Center of TECO in New York, 133-32 41st Road,Flushing, NY 11355)。相關的準備細節請洽各班老師。我們也預祝他們有好的成績!
本週將有中、高年級多媒體比賽,請參加的同學配合老師的指示到禮堂參加。

TCALI Weekly reminder for the 7th week of the 2nd semester: 3/17/2024, Middle/Upper grades multimedia presentation, Greater New York region Pencil Calligraphy writing competition, Parent-Teacher conference, dismissal at 1pm
Greetings to all parents, teachers, and volunteers,
Last week, I continued going to each class to award certificates for the "Great Kindness Challenge" participants. It was really great to see many students raising their hands and sharing the good deeds they had done! Please encourage your children to keep up the good work by continuing to do good deeds every day!
The list of participants for the National Tzu Chi Cup Jing Si Aphorisms Pencil writing/Calligraphy Competition has been published on the school website. Participants are asked to return their written Jing Si Aphorisms to the school this Sunday. We will sort them out and send them to California for the competition. We are grateful for the efforts of all participating students/parents, teachers and volunteers, and we wish them good results!
In addition, 23 students will represent the school to participate in the Greater New York Region Pencil Calligraphy Competition at the Cultural Center in Flushing this Sunday (3/17). Participants please remember to pick up a light lunch bag from the front desk at 11 o'clock. The lower grade group participants please report to the Culture Center (133-32 41st Road, Flushing, NY 11355) by 1pm, and the middle and upper grades at 2:30pm. Please contact the teacher of each class for relevant preparation details. We also wish them good results!
There will be a multimedia competition for middle and upper grade students this week. Students who participate please follow your teacher's instructions to participate in the auditorium.

- 本週是下學期的第二週親師懇談會,請有需要的家長跟老師約時間。
- 二年級的人文課將安排在101教室上花道課。
- 本週適逢聯合國年度婦女地位會議,世界各國NGO組織紛紛表達他們對婦女、兒童平權、消除貧窮和改善教育的努力,而慈濟也是每年從不缺席的參與。本週六在慈濟紐約會所有一場非洲婦女、兒童與慈濟愛的連結分享會,週日有一場台灣尼布恩合唱團音樂分享會歡迎大家參加。相關海報在學校網頁。
- 3/24將有下學期的作業抽查。
- 下學年的舊生註冊將於4/7開始,學費是$650,我們仍提供早鳥優惠($20)及兄弟姊妹折扣($30)。相關註冊細節在稍後分享給大家。
- 原預計在4/7的捐血因特殊原因這學期取消。
- 4/14將有新生家長校園參訪,請讓您週遭有興趣來就讀的家庭們知道。
- 這星期的一日志工是幼小正班。請家長8:40am前到校報到先協助交通。接下來幾個星期的一日志工如下:

- The 2nd parent-teacher conferences for the 2nd semester continue this Sunday. Please make an appointment with the teacher if needed.
- The second grade humanities class will be taking the flower arrangement class in room 101.
- This week coincides with the United Nations’ annual conference on the status of women. NGOs around the world have expressed their efforts for gender equality, women’s empowerment, ending poverty and improve education, Tzu Chi has never been absent from the event every year. This Saturday there will be a sharing session on the connection between African women and children with the love from Tzu Chi at the Tzu Chi New York office, and on Sunday there will be a music sharing session by the Taiwan Nibun Chorus. Everyone is welcome to attend. Related posters on the school website.
- There will be a homework book check on 3/24.
- The registration for the next school year will start on 4/7 for current students, the tuition will be $650, and we also offer early bird discount ($20) and sibling discount ($30). Relevant registration details will be shared with everyone later.
- The blood drive originally scheduled on April 7 has been cancelled this semester due to unforeseen reasons.
- There will be an Open House for new parents of upcoming new students on April 14. Please let the families around you who are interested in studying in our school know.
- This week’s One Day Volunteer is PK-B. Parents of this class please report to the school by 8:40am to assist in parking lot safety. The One Day volunteers for the next few weeks are as follows:
