Weekly Reminder from TCALI

TCALI Weekly reminder for the 15th week of the 1st Semester 1/11/2026: Tzu Chi Songs singing competition, Tzu Chi Songs singing competition,  Class Mom Meeting, Dismissal at 12 PM

This week’s Jing Si Aphorism: Be honest in your words and diligent in your actions.

Dear Parents, Teachers, and Volunteers,

As the current semester is coming to an end, the upcoming semester will be a great opportunity for students to showcase their learning achievements. Through a variety of on-campus and off-campus competitions, students are encouraged to set learning goals and continue to grow. With a wide range of activities, students with different strengths will have many opportunities to participate.

This Sunday, the Tzu Chi Songs Singing competition event will take place. Students are asked to come to school in neat and proper uniforms and proceed to the auditorium according to their teachers’ instructions. Parents are warmly invited to attend and show their encouragement and support to the students.

In addition, a used sneaker recycling event will be held this Sunday in the first-floor lobby. We kindly encourage everyone to start sorting out sneakers at home that are no longer in use and to participate actively. Why is sneaker recycling important? Every year, millions of shoes are discarded and end up in landfills or incinerators. Sneakers can take 30–40 years to decompose in landfills, and improper disposal may release harmful chemicals into the soil and air, negatively impacting the environment and community health. For more information and related posters, please visit the school website.

The global annual Great Kindness Challenge is about to begin, and through this initiative we hope to help children develop good habits of compassion and kindness through action. Students are encouraged to carry out acts of kindness based on the plans arranged by their class teachers. From 1/26/2026 to 1/30/2026, the school will share everyone’s acts of kindness on social media, allowing the power of kindness to connect people around the world. For more information about the Great Kindness Challenge, please visit: https://thegreatkindnesschallenge.com/.

The AP review exam registration has been sent out. The registration deadline is January 20.
Teachers are kindly asked to assist interested students with registration and to collect the $15 registration fee on their behalf.
