佛教慈濟基金會是國際非營利人道組織。慈濟八大法印包括慈善，醫療，教育，人文，國際賑災，骨髓捐贈，環保，和社區志工。證嚴法師51年前創立了佛教慈濟克難功德會，啟動了慈善志業。全美目前有24所慈濟人文學校。
人文學校的宗旨是以慈悲喜捨的精神，誠正信實的態度，教導海外有心學習中文的人，認識中華文化，培養正確的人生觀。慈濟人文學校是非營利教育文化機構，秉持慈濟精神理念，推動啟發性的全人教育。人文學校的特色，除了華語的教學，並融入靜思語教學。「靜思語」是摘錄自證嚴法師平日與弟子、會員或社會人士的談話。靜思語包含許多待人處世的道理，深入淺出。透過靜思語教學，我們希望能將這些寶貴的話語，真正落實在日常生活中。學生，老師，及志工一律穿著制服，以保護學生安全，增加歸屬榮譽感，呈現團體之美，並減低習氣。每班均由其他家長擔任愛心媽媽和愛心爸爸，來幫助學生，老師，及維持上課的秩序。長島慈濟人文學校2020學年度將歡慶22周年。22年來，在所有親師生志工的努力之下，穩定成長。人文學校將邀請全校家長輪流值日，擔任一日歡喜志工。感恩您護持學校的活動。
Thank you for joining the big family of Tzu Chi Academy Long Island. The goals for Tzu-Chi Academy are teaching Chinese language and culture, as well as inspiring the compassion in our students and communities. Through humanity education, we encourage and guide kids to respect and love themselves and people around them, contributing to the greater good while bettering themselves. There are 24 Tzu Chi Academies in the US.
Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, an international non-profit humanitarian organization with missions in charity, medicine, education, culture, international relief, and environmental protection, was founded by Dharma Master Cheng Yen 52 years ago. Jing Si Aphorism is her life wisdom. It is easy to understand. It is part of our curriculum for kids to learn and implement the philosophy and have a good attitude in life.
Our students, teachers, and volunteers all wear uniforms for protecting safety, promoting sense of belonging and honor, showing the beauty of the group, and reducing bad habits. Class parents assist students and teachers. TCALI will celebrate our 22nd anniversary. For the past twenty plus years, our school grows steadily through great efforts by parents, teachers, students, and volunteers. You will be invited to be a happy volunteer for a day to serve our children. Thank you for your support in school activities.

Take Long Island Expressway to Exit 41 North (Rt. 106 Oyster Bay & Rt. 107 Glen Cove). Bear right at the split to stay on Rt. 106 North towards Oyster Bay, pass Rt. 25A, and go 2 miles further to turn right onto E. Main Street. Tuition and fees: $520 annual (two semesters) tuition, books, and miscellaneous fees, plus registration fee $30 per person. Register before 5/31/2019 and enjoy a $30 discount. $30 non-refundable registration fee per person. $50 additional discount for each registered siblings of a registered student. Please write student’s name on the check. Make check payable to: "TZU CHI ACADEMY Long Island". Students who drop out before the first day of the second semester will receive partial refund according to our student handbook. Uniforms are $15 for a short sleeve polo shirt and $20 for a sweat shirt. Please prepare long navy pants and sneakers on your own. *None of the fees are tax deductible. Please let us know if you have difficulty paying. - 課程及說明：本校週日上課。二零二零年九月十三日開學。9am - 1pm (包括語文、靜思語教學、人文課及20週才藝課@12-1pm. 才藝課可以選擇不上) 六歲以下12-1pm在班上參加唱遊. 六歲以上可選擇才藝課。才藝課程選項於開學前通知，學期前兩週選課，第三週開始上才藝課。詳細課程請看行事曆。
Course Descriptions: Our school meets on Sundays. First day of school is 9/13/2020. Class time is between 9 am and 1 pm (including Chinese language, Jing Si Aphorism, humanity education, and 20 culture classes@12-1pm. Student can choose to waive culture class). Students under 6 will be in their own class for Sing & Dance from 12-1pm. Students 6 or older may choose a culture class. List of culture classes available will be announced in summer, class election and assignment will conclude by week 2. Culture class will start on week 3.
